The bad: Average quality still photos and video; suffers from occasional lock-ups and freezes; only 19MB internal memory and 64MB card provided in the box.
The bottom line: Sony Ericsson's K610i is an attractive mid-range 3G phone that is small and light, but you'll be let down if you're expecting great results from its 2-megapixel camera.

My first SE phone... and will be the last!
Aug 31, 2008Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Compact form, no lags, supports animated wallpapers, gets the job done (SMS, calls), screen material (no light scratches can distort display), good battery life, customizable
Cons: Very limited applications, plastic casing easily gets faded, died on me before reaching it's 2nd birthday!
Opinion:
My first SE phone... SE phones were said to have a less depreciation value compared to Nokia's. My K610i just died on me before it had its 2 years of service. They (SE) said it was already beyond repair (perhaps hardware failure) that the phone constantly restarts itself or hangs. I guess I got my consequences from having too much drops for this phone.
The K610i wasn't built rugged as I have thought it was. And for my experience, it didn't live to be that reliable. I am going back to Nokia devices from now on.
Cool phone

A light weight, stylish and sleek phone.
Aug 21, 2007Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: It lets you type in chinese characters through han yu pin yin and it's keys are still new although the phone was bought awhile ago.
Cons: It only comes with two games. You need a bluetooth gadget to load songs onto it.
Opinion:
As my first phone, it has so far performed quite well. It has never frozen before and I hope it dosen't. The camera is good for me, although there can be room for improvement. About the memory stick, I had to buy it myself. Same with the bluetooth because it DOES NOT come with the phone. It has poor recording because whenever i record, it sounds like there is a layer of sand in between. I hope that they could improve on that. Other than that, it is a generally good phone.
