The good: Ultraslim design; 1.3-megapixel camera; i-mode access; Bluetooth; PictBridge; phone conversation recording.

The bad: Non-removable battery; no speakerphone function, memory expansion slot not available; limited onboard memory.

The bottom line: For a clamshell that’s thinner than most candy bars in the market now, the NEC N412i is truly feature-rich. However, there are tradeoffs to its slim form factor, among them the fixed battery and lack of memory expansion.

I prefer Motorola V3 series

Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: futuristic design
Cons: Thin doesn't means good;non-removable battery; doesn't support external memory

Featured packed ultra thin pocket rocket

Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Fashionably thin, light weight, BT, imode
Cons: Short battery life, no external speaker, poor camera res
Opinion:
The NEC is full of features crammed into a ultra thin shell. This is one for the fashion trend setters. There is BT, imode, 1.3MP camera. But battery life is short due to the thinness of the battery. There is no external speaker. The phone can only play MP3 as ringtone only if you download from the imode site. The UI is not the most user friendly. But for those who want to look good then get it. Otherwise there are many similar featured phones in the market to choose from.
