CNET Asia Review

The bad: No built-in flash; proprietary headphone jack; cannot play 320kbps MP3 files; no lens cover.
The bottom line: Compact yet well-equipped, the SGH-X700's expandable TransFlash memory, megapixel camera and FM tuner make it an excellent choice for those seeking a good selection of multimedia features in a mainstream mobile.

Worthlessness
Feb 4, 2008Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: Very good display, Good camera clarity
Cons: Very bad headset, Can't play high bit songs from memory card, No resale value, Low volume, Low battery life
Opinion:
I have been using this phone for the last 2 yrs. I am unable to listen FM or MP3 properly from this phone. The headset is having loose contact with the mobile. Unable to open high bit songs and photos. You will get an error message that "Not Supported by this Mobile". No full screen display for video. Unable to minimize the MP3 window. You cant open any other applications when it plays MP3. There is no control from the headset button except attending the call. No resale value for this mobile. When I bought the price was 270 UD. Now the max resale value for this mobile is 40 UD.

Pros: Memory card upto 1GB, Excellent Display, 1.3MP cam, Phone calls/FM recording, MP3/MP4 Player
Cons: No full screen Video, Low speakers volume
Opinion:
This is my reply to "MR.CheeYong" who wrote that it "Sucks".... Let me tell you this.... There is NO SE / Nokia Mobile at this low price range (150 US DOLLARS in my country)with these excellent features.... X700 can play MP3 files with 320KB/s bitrate.... May be your firmware is old!.... You can record phone calls and FM radio programs upto 1 hour long per file.... It supports 1GB memory card .... I am using X700 as a MP3/MP4 Player with 512MB card for more than 6 months without any problem.... Make louder MP3 files and play on X700.... Excellent sound quality... Complete DVD quality movie "Spiderman" is saved in my memory card as MP4 video files and X700 plays these files very well with louder sound (without cinema screen black borders) .... If you want to find more features of X700, then contact to me at usmanafzal100@yahoo.com

To the person below:
I have this phone for five months and i have no problems with it. U are totally nuts to say this phone is very lousy. The new service centre is not bad and get yourself a MP3 player if u need to play wma files or higher than 192kb/s. Please don't give negative comments as i have a shock yesterday and think twice. I suppose i agree with others. I think u don't know how to use this phone.
