Very good

The good: Easy camera handling once you get it running; loud and good-quality music playback; large, high-quality screen; desk-based handsfree video calling; FM radio.

The bad: Chunky design; not enough built-in memory; can't use camera with flip closed.

The bottom line: The N71 is very chunky and while the large, high-quality screen is great for video calling, it doesn't stop us feeling this phone is just too big for its own good. Get past the size, though, and the N71 offers an impressive set of features.

A WINNER!

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: All stuff that previous Nokia's lacked,under-priced ,352x288 mp4 Video recording, 2.4" screen!
Cons: No WiFi, only 10MB internal memory, could be smaller, a bit heavy, no GPS
Opinion:
Believe it or not, finally here's a real smart S60 phone from Nokia!
All things that we ever dreamed of are here: a reliable camera, smooth and quality video recording, a fully functional smart phone, a PDA-Matching huge bright display, an even an equalizer! and best of all is the MASS Storage mode support... Don't tell ya about miniSD's....
Anyone who thinks about buying an N70 at the existence of this monster must be a dumb! why? cause N71 is over N70 just about 70 USD in price, and no match in thier specs of course....When it comes to 460 USD for this sweety, then no need to think about it at all.
So, all good, what's bad?
Well, we can say a loss of a WiFi benefit would be depressive, also waiting for an integrated-GPS Nokia phone is useful...etc. But above all, the price's perfect for these features and advantages in this device.

Good music-player phone after sending for repair

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: clear music reproduction, good battery stamina
Cons: couldn't recognise Starhub 3G sim-card (tried on two brand new N71s, problem fixed after repair.
Opinion:
It's a good phone to have (after initial hiccups). Impressed by its battery stamina. After continuous non-stop music playing for about 5 hours through the supplied ear-phones, the battery power dropped by only one notch. Music quality is clear, with bass and good treble.

N71 - Great Smartphone

Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Great design,No spring setup makes it flawless of flip failure,Good cam & video, excellent sound
Cons: No camera protection
Opinion:
Great Mobile and very reasonable cost compared to N90 and N70.N70 is very much over rated than the N71.The bass effects are really punchy, great work putting the sd slot, charger slot and connectivity slot hidden.
I have the Mobile for 2 months and very much satisfied than N90 and N70 as I used both of them.

I will surely recommend anyone with no hesitation to go for this Mobile.
