CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: One of the first 3G-capable PDA-phones; rock-solid build quality; superb display and keyboard; packed with connectivity, multimedia features and Windows Mobile 5.0; fast processor. View score
The bad: Bulky and heavy; sub-par camera quality; poor phone implementation; pricey.
The bottom line: It can do pretty much everything you can expect of a PDA-phone hybrid and more, but while it excels as a top-of-the-line PDA, its phone functions leave room for improvement.

Wonderful phone
Dec 29, 2006Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: All features in 1
Cons: Non
Opinion:
It is the best phone I ever used (1 out 5). Now with skype and MSN installed, I can communicate anywhere anytime with my friends via GPRS or WIFI network.
The office suite and Adobe are also excellent tools.

Jun 25, 2006Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Feature-packed PDA
Cons: Lousy Camera
Opinion:
Honestly I felt that its a good buy as all the features were useful and provided in the Dopod 900. Its Office programs load instantly as well as the internet explorer. As for battery, it can last a day under heavy usage. Must charge at night. Anyway good news is that if the battery is flat, dun worry it will not wipe out the data. Just charge it.

Pros: Very practical (if it works!)
Cons: Unsuitable for non-business users
Opinion:
Within a few months after purchase, the LCD screen of Dopod 900 suddenly turned white for no apparent reason. I'm a heavy business user and rely a lot on the Dopod. Little did I know of the nightmare that was about to start!
In short: In the course of almost 6 weeks, SiS was unable or too incompetent to get the spare parts from Taiwan delivered to Singapore to allow for the repair of the device. I lost count but would estimate that I called Sis perhaps 10-15 times. Every single time I was promised that someone calls back and, with one single exception, I never ever received any phone call from them, telling me when the device can be collected.
I work for an MNC in Singapore which imports and ... Read more
