The good: Budget phone with fun features; interchangeable faceplates; speakerphone function; plays MP3 music and MPEG-4 video files.

The bad: Only 12MB onboard memory with no expansion slots, no integrated camera, IR or Bluetooth; dualband; plasticky exterior.

The bottom line: The Sony Ericsson Doraemon J300i (Limited Edition) will attract fans of the chubby blue-skinned character with its simplistic feature set and affordable sticker price.

I would be happy if it has a clamshell with animation icons. Really wish it has lots of features and interesting games, tones plus a unique sms or missed calls showing outside the clear screen on the cover. Loud melodies or tinkle to show missed calls & alarm. Overrall, it is slightly friendly. The buttons need to be comfy to key. And a camera, be clear. To note - Must be light and compact for ladies use. Keep it up, Sony Ericsson.

I am a doraemon fan who bought the J300i the 1st day it was launched at SingTel without line at S$328... Guess what?? Now the price has dropped to S$228 with the hi card bundle...:(.. So sad... But overrall... this is a nice phone. The cool blue looks good. Everything looks good. However, if there are built-in doraemon themes in the phone, that would be great!!! Nice basic phone to own...
