The good: Simple operation; loud speakerphone; call screening; long battery life.

The bad: Disappointing display; dualband; no side panel buttons; lack of connectivity and enhancement options.

The bottom line: For the entry-level user who is concerned mainly with getting the basics right, the 2600 is a great choice.
