The bad: Missing an external display; limited vertical viewing angle; SMS engine needs work.
The bottom line: By Samsung's lofty standards, the camera-less SGH-X430 is a pretty modest handset. The lack of an external display and lackluster SMS interface will leave users perplexed, but the good display and sound redeem the model somewhat.

TERRIBLE!!!!!!!

This phone is really horrible and useless!!! Although this is my first phone and my first Samsung, i know it will also be my last Samsung... The sms function is also very slow and doesn't even have the mandatory spell function that even older phones have... The way I type my sms is quite a normal pace, and the phone can't even catch up with my pace!!! I would wonder how my friend, who slides the keypad and is very fast, will live with this phone... and instead of an external LCD, Samsung has chosen to put an irritating light instead... I sent mine for repair around 22 times until the warranty was void... So don't ever get this phone... get the nokia 3120 or 2600 or 2650 instead... More worth it...
