The bad: Interface issues; tiny fonts; lacks multimedia and memory expansion.
The bottom line: There's much to like here, from its reasonable price to its strong feature set, but the SMSing takes some getting used to.

Hopeless
Jun 18, 2006Rating: 2 out of 10 (Terrible)
Pros: Good concept
Cons: The phone and company
Opinion:
I would have given this product a 1 but it was taking too long to submit the review.
Besides confirming every problem the other people have had I am also very disapointed with the company itself. They are never available, difficult to deal with, unconcerned with there customers and product defects and generally should not be in business.
I purchased a Z3 for around $700 Sinpore dollars. During the first 4 months the phone had the same problems as the other owners have described. To say the least it was annoying. At the end of month 4 the phone simply stoped working all together. Tried contacting Zircon for about 6 months and during my next visit to Singapore got in touch with them.
I was told to send the phone back at my cost, $170, and they would repair. Received the phone back after 1 month, started it up and it ... Read more

Opinion:
The Z3 was the first PDA phone that I owned since May 04, being the most affordable offered by my mobile company. My take on the Z3:
Major pros:
- It has Palm OS
- It's compact and light
- It could withstand a few falls (at least 5 times)
Major cons:
- No expansionability (have to buy additional hardware for it)
- Tends to on/off by itself a few times (thus draining the battery fast)
- Slow SMS retrieval
- Serial port hotsync (have to invest in a serial-to-USB adapter)
Also, I had sent the Z3 twice for a software upgrade (once when their service centre was in Funan, the other time at Bugis Junction).
Frankly, if not for the unfortunately knock on the screen that caused it to crack a few months ago, I would've kept it for another year or so.
But then again, it gave me justification to get a new ... Read more

Pros: appearance
Cons: everything else
Opinion:
Where do I begin? This phone was given to me as a gift in late 2004.From the first month it has given me problems. It resets itself at least three times a day! I kid you not !!It switches off without any good reason or warning! So I am actually uncontactable and have alarmed my loved ones many times without knowing . They sometimes have to contact me through my friends.Defeats the purpose of having a mobile phone doesn't it ? So everytime this happens , i have to reprogramme the data and sometimes reset it like 10 times. The battery is useless coz you can talk only for 10 minutes and then it goes off .The after sales service is poor and the agents are few and far between. Infact I only know of one. My screen was damaged when I got it! And the agent couldn't do anything about it.They claimed that I must have dropped it. Hello!!! ... Read more
