CNET Asia Review
Very good
The good: Ruggedized; chockfull of features big and small. View score
The bad: Bulky; poor button feel.
The bottom line: The 5100's gaudy exterior may put off some users, but this rough-and-tumble handset is a godsend for the careless and sporty, plus those going on a backpacking trip.

Truly a phone for the rugged and the careless

The phone proved to be an able guide for me on a dark night during a camping trip. My friends were impressed with the torchlight function. I even went into the sea with my phone still in my bermudas. I thought it would be gone but then the phone was functioning well after I left it out to dry. However, it seems a common flaw that the glass panel of the phone cracks easily. Mine is not the only one whose panel has cracked. So has my friend's. Nokia should look into this.
