HTC Touch Pro and Xperia X1 in pictures![]() First announced during this year's Mobile World Congress, Sony Ericsson's XPERIA X1 will finally be shipping soon. One of the biggest questions potential buyers will have is if it matches up to the HTC Touch Pro. We'll be answering that question later in a full review of the X1, but for now, check out some photos we took of the two side-by-side if you want to see the physical differences. The X1 (right) is longer and narrower than the Touch Pro. The increased length is necessary because of the longer screen which has a resolution of 800 x 480 compared to the Touch Pro's 640 x 480 pixels. I'd have to go with Ericsson on this. From screen, to keyboard to other features it's a hands down to SE this time

I am and always have been a Sony Ericsson fan. Just disappointed they had to use Windows for the Xperia's OS. Maybe next time.

Both are made by HTC! In the end HTC is the biggest winner!

I had an opportunity to play around with an X1 prototype in Singapore a couple of weeks back. Only one word to say: DESIREABLE!
In comparison to the HTC and most normal sized PDAs, the X1 fits the palm better as it's narrower width brings it closer to holding a candy bar phone. One top of that, it was less bulky than I'd imagined.
The thing that seals the deal is the "banana" sliding QWERTY keyboard. The slider feels very solidly built, and even after it's gone through it's paces over weeks to test out the local networks, the slider still felt very stable, no loose movements.
All in all, the X1 heralds a new standard for the rest to follow.
