Nokia debuts E66 and E71 Eseries duo

By Damian Koh

Nokia has finally plugged the recent leaks and put to rest rumors about the new Eseries models as it officially unveiled the E66 and E71 at the annual Nokia Connection 2008 in Singapore. The event was held at the Singapore Recreation Club on Monday, a day prior to CommunicAsia 2008.

As most of the information about this Eseries pair have already been leaked onto the Web, the announcement was only a confirmation of what we already know. The E66 and E71 are upgraded models of the earlier E65 and E61i and the devices remain feature-packed like their predecessors. Most notable are the inclusion of GPS chips with support for A-GPS and upgraded camera modules on both phones.

Three accessories--two car kits and a Bluetooth headset--were also announced. All new devices are expected to be available in the next quarter.
