Nokia serves up new mobile accessories

In a global announcement today, Nokia unveiled plans to roll out a new range of enhancements for its Q4 2007 product lineup. Among them are two Bluetooth headsets (BH-902 and BH-903), a Bluetooth speaker (MB-7W), a lightweight Bluetooth GPS module (LD-4W) and a portable power pack (DC-1).

Stealing the spotlight, however, is the Nokia 500 Auto Navigation device. According to the Finnish company, this is a complete in-car navigation solution that multitasks as a communication as well as an entertainment tool. In addition to its onboard GPS receiver and 4.3-inch color display, the Nokia 500 connects to the mobile phone via Bluetooth for contacts and handsfree usage. The device additionally handles music, photos and videos and comes with an FM transmitter to play music from the car stereo.

The upcoming accessories, including the Nokia 500, are expected to launch globally in Q4 of 2007. At press time, Nokia was unable to confirm the Asia availability of its new Nseries addons.
