Sony Ericsson Walkman slims down
SINGAPORE--Sony Ericsson today announced two new cellular additions to its popular Walkman portfolio as well as a couple of Bluetooth accessories.
While the company did not release any details for the W880i, it has provided two teaser images of the slimly built Walkman handset which looks really promising. This latest announcement also finally confirms recent rumors about a new slim phone said to have an onboard 3.2-megapixel camera, FM radio and 2GB hard drive.
On the W200i, Peter Ang, Sony Ericsson's director of Product Marketing in Asia Pacific, reveals that it is aimed as "an affordable music phone that complements your existing MP3 player". The triband handset comes with a basic feature set that includes an MP3/AAC player, M2 card expansion slot and FM radio, though some users may be disappointed by the built-in VGA camera and Bluetooth omission.
Sony Ericsson has also announced two new Bluetooth accessories. The HBH-PV705 Bluetooth headset offers interchangeable panels for user customization, while the MBR-100 Bluetooth Music Receiver caters to those who want to stream music from other devices.
