SINGAPORE--In its first Asia-Pacific launch for 2007, Nokia unveiled five new products, among them two new N-series handsets, the N76 and N93i, together with three Bluetooth headsets--the BH-301, BH-201 and BH-100.

The Finnish mobile giant also took this opportunity to announce its partnership with Six Apart, a union that will bring free blogging service Vox to the company's N-series phones.

With a 13.7mm girth, the N76 is possibly one of the slimmest 3G clamshells from Nokia and probably one of the thinnest models in the company's N-series lineup. Available in black and red, the N76 shares many similarities with the upcoming Motorola Razr MAXX V6, such as a metallic keypad, extended lip below the keypad, 3G, 2-megapixel camera and external music controls. It will be the first Nokia device to be preloaded with five Adobe Flash Lite games developed by Japanese developer CELL.

The N93i is touted as the improved version of the N93, with a slimmer and smaller form factor than its predecessor and a mirror-like finish on its cover. This recalls to mind Sony Ericsson's Z610i with its OLED display hidden below the mirror panel, offering a unique exterior design. In addition to a smaller-capacity battery and enhanced 16 million-color display, the N93i also supports uploading of video clips to the Vox blogging service.

In conjunction with the launch of the N93i, the company informed the media that it would be kicking off a regional videography competition titled You Make It Reel, come January 27. The contest will require contestants to shoot and upload video footage of themselves in a quartet, dancing to selected tunes from Dallas-based band Greyskull and various local bands in Asia. The winning entry in the final round, picked by Greyskull, gets to take home US$10,000.

Nokia also added that it will be introducing an "Asia Map" application for its soon-to-launch N95. The application was created by Singapore-based developer Agis to complement the current Maps tool, with enhanced location-based services and mapping details for countries across Asia.
