Samsung models ultra-slim phones
The Korean giant redefines the word "slim" in mobile phones with a range of super-thin handsets that come under the company's new "Ultra Edition" label.
Among the trio will be what Samsung claims is the world's thinnest candy bar at just 6.9mm.
Under the new naming convention, the thickness of the phone is indicated in the name. For example, the company's new 6.9mm-thin candy bar (previously known
as the SGH-X820) is called the Ultra Edition 6.9. The Ultra Edition 9.9 refers to its 9.9mm-slim clamshell, known more commonly as the SGH-D830. The thickest
of the threesome is the Ultra Edition 12.9 slide, which measures, well, just 12.9mm.
