User Review for Nokia 3120 classic

An easy-to-get-up-to-date phone

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: 16 million colour display, decent battery life, very easy and comfortable to use keypad,3g connectivity, lightweight, controversial design, affordable, sunlught legible display, great video capabitles
Cons: The small D-pad,The hard-to-release battery cover, mediocre camera, semi useless secondary camera, the cheap paint,2.5mm audio jack,no micro usb data cable
Opinion:
Here it is a phone that is easy to use and get due to the world renowned s40 UI.With it's affordable price and up to date feature the phone has a potential to become one of the best sellers. It's lightweight and easy to use phone makes it a deal breaker, yet it still has it's own flaws. The back battery cover is very hard to open but yes it is equipped with a decent battery a 1000 mah one,but don't use your nails to open the back cover due to the cheap paint as it will chip off.Another let down was the camera,it is equipped with a 2 megapixel fix focus sensor and a led flash, but shooting it makes it blur as it is equipped with a noise reduction system,as a result of lose of detail, but still average. But the video department is good as it records VGA (640x480) resolution but only in 15 fps and saved as .3gp format. No,you can't use the 2nd cam as a mirror as opposed to the s60 UI so it seems rather useless, but if you make a lot of 3g call then it's ok.The battery lasted 6 days using call and text, but if used for music it's average, lasting about 8-12 hours. The UI isn't slow or sluggish,it relatively fast, but not fast enough. It can also be equipped up to 8Gb using micro SD (I know the official Nokia claimed it only up to 4GB) But it works. The only problem during the s40 UI I used before was that when you start to fill up the card it also start's slowing down (5300,6300)But in this phone I consumed around 1 gig and it is still fast.Audio quality is only passable, and the 2.5mm jack can make it a little worst, but at least 3.5mm adapter is cheap and available, unlike the micro usb data cable.

Overall the phone performed great, even greater than I expected from a low mid-range phone, but it has also it's flaws so it's your choice.

But we have another comparison to help you choose what's a better phone for you

In the nokia same price range s40 UI line up

5310 Xpress Music-The one of the best seller music phone,if music is your top priority then one this is one of the better alternatives,it also has a slimmer design.

7210 supernova-The 7210 supernova packa up with a slimmer waist line just as 5310 and has a more appealing design(especiall the pure black),but has a less legible diplay (256k only)a less powerful battery.

6300-The now aging 6300 has also a slim waist line, but what makes it good is the design, and the materials made into this finely work of art,due to the stainless steel feel and the missed events indicator you'll surely buy this one. There's also a flaw like the slowing of UI,up to 2gb of memory and the low battery life

5220 Xpress music-Has the longest music play back time of all the phones. But the looks would'nt be that great.Fancy, also equipped with a 262k screen making it less legible

5130 Xpress music-The most affordable music player has a slightly longer battery life than the 5310 Xpress Music, but it does'nt have the highly promoted active stand by mode.

Sony Ericsson

K770i-is a Cyber-shot phone, with a more slimmer look and graceful charm equipped with a 3.2 megapixel auto focus sensor with dual led flash and a stylish back cover, makes it one of the choices, but you'll get a smaller display and less legible (262k)

G502-A 3g enabled phone, equipped with one of the latest sony ericsson UI,equipped with a 2 inch display,Sony music player 3.0,Cyber-shot 2.0 interface makes it another alternative. But the design seems a little different, and there's no photo flash included.

Wait another one of my reviews!!!!!

3120 RESULTS AS OF 7 OUT OF 10 AS FOR GOOD BUT NOT GREAT,AS THERE ARE MORE CAPABLE PHONES OUT THERE
