User Review for BlackBerry Bold

One of the best gadgets I've ever had

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: looks stylish yet professional, QWERTY keyboard, excellent screen resolution, great sound quality, features are overwhelming, Wi-Fi, trackball, 3.5 mm audio jack, even love the software that comes with the device (CD), everything a blackberry should be
Cons: camera, no Xenon flash, takes awhile to get used to, cool applications don't come for free, battery life may be an issue depending on how you plan to use it
Opinion:
I have to be honest: I used to worship Sony Ericsson; but I've been having second thoughts recently. I must say the Blackberry Bold has probably been one of the best things to come my way. Being obsessed with Sony Ericsson, it was obvious that I knew nothing of Blackberry, so it took me awhile to get used to the device, with the countless features and shortcuts keys and all. It was, however, worth the trouble (not that it really caused me any trouble). The Bold was very quick and responsive (though this makes me wonder how responsive the Toshiba TG01 might be). It's pretty nice to put in videos here because the video quality of the phone is exquisite. Sound quality isn't bad either, it has a sort of surround sound effect with speakers place at both ends (in my opinion, the sound quality during loudspeaker mode beats the Sony Ericsson W980i - a WALKMAN phone; although I am uncertain whether the sound quality would change when using the headphones since the W980i has an equalizer). The browser is pretty ok for me, too, considering that it's a mobile/handheld device. Battery life can be an issue for a lot of users, but I think disabling the Wi-Fi, 3G capabilities, and setting the brightness to 10 (from 100) can help. I love the fact that it comes with a 3.5mm audio jack, something that, for some reason, Sony Ericsson lacks (except probably 2 or 3 out of all their devices). It's a bit disappointing though to find the audio jack on the side..but hey, beggars can't be choosers! E-mail, of course, is not a problem for Blackberry. I just have one question though: When I charge my Blackberry, the lightning sign on the battery icon appears to signify that it's charging. After it becomes fully charged, the lightning sign disappears. Does that mean that it's able to stop itself from receiving the electrical charge or something?..because when I recharge my Sony Ericsson, the lightning sign does not disappear, regardless of how long I've left the phone connected to the charger. If it does, then that's pretty awesome!
