User Review for Samsung SGH-i450

Reasonably price, yet solid performance from handphone

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Solid build, simple menus, great sounds and display
Cons: No built-in games, which I really don't mind
Opinion:
The phone was built by Samsung, hence has it patented very crisp and clear LCD... bundled with Symbian 60 OS which is Nokia's user-friendly platform for mobile phones. So what more can one ask for - a phone with Samsung's build quality yet has Nokia's easy-to-use interface?

Packaged as a music phone, it functions much like the N95 with slide up and slide down option, with slide up to enable music functionalities. Sound quality from built-in speakers is awesome, much better than my P1i which is about 300 US dollars more expensive at launch. Supports microSD, in a hot swappable manner (slide the card in or out via the phone's card slot on the side of the unit, no need to remove batteries or back cover); my unit came with a 1GB bundle. Texting and calling is a breeze, ringtones and alert tones are very loud at maximum volume, which in the past has been the "weakness" of several Samsung models. At bit thicker than most slim mobile phones out there, but does not feel bulky in the hands. Comfortable to operate with one hand, in fact... and its PC Studio implementation is smooth, syncs easily and very fast with my laptop.

Downside? Nothing major, except for the fact that it did not come with built-in games and with only four themes. However, since it runs on Symbian 60, it was very easy to download games and themes over the net almost as soon as you are able to load the microSD card into your computer!
