User Review for HTC Touch (2nd generation)

Good price for basic PDA

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Slim, Big screen, Essentials in
Cons: Little slow, Sms issue, no GPS
Opinion:
Bought this over an IT fair and it was one of the cheapest PDA phone around.
Quite satisfied with it given that phone connectivity as well as syncing and Wifi were easily configured and had not been much of a problem.
the touchflo system is also very helpful.
I just switched from a normal phone to a PDA one and I would say that most irks came from windows mobile and not the phone itself. e.g. the need to close all applications again from the taskbar, high memory requirements of programs, the many steps needed just to create a new sms etc.
Also a word of advise to those who enjoy smsing fast with numberpads: do buy a phone with a keypad, cos a pure touchscreen will slow you down 5 folds, let alone not allow you to sms without looking at the keys.

the only bug i have with this phone is the occasional blurring of the predicted word line while smsing. I have to shut down the phone, restart again before the matter resolves, only to recur after some time.

Overall, if you're looking for a basic PDA phone and don't mind windows mobile (though there's not many choices around), this is probably one of your top choices.
