User Review for Palm Centro
Has a bunch of PDA bells and whistles. The 1.3-megapixel camera is a plus but there's no Wi-Fi.
Sep 15, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Takes nice pictures and movies on 1.3-megapixel camera, simple interface
Cons: Not inexpensive. This costs about US$400 in the Philippines, no Wi-Fi, no touch screen typing
Opinion:
The Palm Centro has about everything you need for a PDA phone plus a 1.3-megapixel camera and a micro SD expansion slot for up to 4GB of data. It takes decent snapshots and video so you don't need to bring a bulkier point and shoot digital camera on the road. But what is disappointing is the absence of Wi-Fi so you could take advantage of available wireless network. Those who are used with touchscreen typing will have to live with its qwerty keyboard, which is somewhat annoying if you have big fingers. Overall its go for me. It clutches most of the user-friendly features and functions of Palm smart phones. I have to see its price when it's bundled with plans. Its current price of about $400 wihtout plan is hefty.
