Opinion:
I got the HTC U1000 which is the predecessor of the Advantage.

After reading through all the post, I must say that all that speaks against it has place the Advantage and the U1000 in the wrong category.

It is not a handphone per se. It is a super convenient sub-UMPC that does voice calls as well.

Between carrying a UMPC and a phone everyday to do checks on my emails and presentation, I rather have two gadgets combined into one, i.e. the advantage.

But if you are really looking for a super duper gadget in the shape of the normal handphone size? then I can say the screen size of normal handphones do not do justice to the features that it has. Think HTC smartphones or Nokia N95.

So for maximising the features of the HTC advantage, then one has to match it with a screen size that actually makes using the features much easier on the eyes.

For the Advantage hit all the marks for doing what it is designed to do with the things needed, most notably the screen size, for work to be done well. Did i mention on the GPS feature too? Like to squint on the screen while driving - please dun follow me while driving please - you will cause an accident

The pro is of course the size since the screen size makes it big. So my advice to most people is to have a back up smaller mobile phone for the weekend.

That's why I have a old Motorola, Nokia 6300 as my weekend phones.
