User Review for O2 Xda Flame
Great PDA on the Move
Jul 17, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Great Performance, Perfectly Customisable features and Great Graphic Display (Best among all I've Seen)
Cons: Low battery life, average camera( for handphones) & pathetic headphones
Opinion:
This is by far the best pda phone I've came across both for business usage and entertainment usage.
Pros:
1. It's large screen is perfect for a more complete view of applications and the graphic display is astoundingly clear and smooth. Doesn't strain the eye as much as other pda phones.
2. It's more commonly used features such as calendar, contacts and default screen is easily customizable to suit anyone's preferences.
3. Playing videos using the O2 XDA Flame is like playing it through a Ipod. Great audio and video qualities makes you wonder is this the Iphone (obviously not) in advance.
4. Interface is quite similar to the more common windows which makes it easier to adept to.
Cons:
1. Miserable battery life sometimes forces you to charge it every now and then or to have a ready charged 2nd battery on hand.
2. Great audio qualities are hindered by poor volume from the ear phones, only it's speaker phone is audible. (Great Surround Sound)
3. Phone capabilites sometimes cannot function with other pda functions at the same time and hangs. Doesn't happens often but frustrating when it does.
4. Window Media Players sucks! Use TCPMP (the other video playing program that plays anything except WMA or WMV which is by default can only be viewed in WMP.) which can be found & downloaded from the web easily
Conclusion:
Great handheld but not so great cellphone compared to others. May need to consider a 2nd more phone-oriented handphone in case of dead battery situations. Overall it's advantages outweighs the cons it has. Wouldn't exchange it for any other pda phone current on the market to date! Unless there's a Flame2 of course!
