User Review for Nokia E61
Wouldn't trade it in for the new i-Phone!!!
Jul 8, 2008Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Sturdy for its look, Qwerty keyboard, WiFi, No Camera (sometimes a Pro), Responsive OS, Easy to find software/upgrades, Amazing battery life!
Cons: No Camera (yes, sometimes a Con), Slow SMS system (patch/fix available), Sound recorder button a bit too responsive, No keypad Auto-lock
Opinion:
Yes, I wouldn't trade this phone for the new (3G) i-Phone! No I have nothing against Apple or the i-Phone!
So the first thing I read about this phone when I researched about this phone and found after buying it that it actually does have the most amazing battery life! They say its 7 hours and its actually supposed to be 7 hours! I can say its more than any other phone I have ever owned.
The SMS service did take a lot of time, like 30-45 seconds but I found the patch to fix it and now its out of the screen in 3 seconds.
It runs on a Symbian OS and you can find a lot of free software/upgrades, like Opera Browser, WiFi Presenters, divx player, supports i-pod videos if I am not wrong, and even has Real and Flash players.
One thing I realy wanted and miss the most is the keypad Auto-lock feature. You can put a timed lock with a password but if you just like the "normal" lock (not with a password), you have to do it manually. The sound recorder button is a bit too responsive sometimes but once you know where NOT to place your finger, it stops becoming a bother.
But yeah, I would trade it for a Nokia E-61i if that scheme ever comes out!
