Bought this on 3rd May, 2008. Worked fine and was happy abt it. On 22nd May, the phone died. Cldn't charge, cldnt reset. Took it to the authorised service centre at Vikhroli, Mumbai, India.

Report - Motherboard conked off. Will replace mother board, not the handset. Why ? Because it's more than 14 days old and we don't replace the handset beyond this period !!

This is ridiculous. We are not talking abt a minor problem. The entire mother board conked off. The company HTC is useless and not customer friendly. I wasn't aware that their products had a 50-50 chance of survival. I was told that this is a popular product and in great demand and hence they don't get too many chances to test it before shipping. But the company is very strict with its policy of replacement. I was wondering, what would happen if the replaced mother board conked off ?

I had abt 13 people in queue at the service station each one complaining abt the touchscreen or some hardware problem. Not a reliable product. Most handsets develop a problem in 15 days, hence the 14 day replacement guarantee only !@!

Will never buy an HTC again.
