User Review for Palm TX
Last PALM I am buying
Mar 7, 2008Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: bright screen
Cons: no USB port and dodgy connector
Opinion:
I have been a faithful PALM user since 2001, but this is the last PALM I will be buying, the screen broke after 3 months and had to be sent in for repair, the power adaptor (with a "special pin" failed after 6 and could only be charged from the dodgy proprietry connector and charger.
The web browser (Blazer) is sloooow and prone to crashing and nothing compared to the Symbian on my Nokia E90.
I do not understand why do PALM not use USB in this day and age, I have gone through 3 PALM connectors so far as they keep breaking and synchronising is a touch and go affair everyday. I can now charge my Motorola handphone and Creative Zen Stone with a single USB charger and I have no need to bring 3 or 4 chargers with me when I travel. Why oh why can people not use chargers with a universal pin ?
PALM could not afford anymore screw ups after the m501 debacle (qucikly replaced by the m505) and they did it again.
