Opinion:
My Dopod 818 Pro's USB broke, and the motherboard had to be replaced and cost a bomb, so I took a shot at this Palm Treo 500v. I am not disappointed!

It's quite a good form factor and depending on your needs, it is quite a good smartphone. Battery life is quite good so far. The screen is amazingly clear and sharp with very good contrast. The User Interface is innovative and is quite simple to use once you fiddle with it a few times.

It is so much lighter than the Dopod, which is like a little brick. The Dopod crashes so much it was frustrating. The 500v on the other hand feels good in the hand and pockets, is relatively light, wide enough for my big hands although the QWERTY keyboard takes some getting use to, but I'm getting there... oh, I can type with one finger too while on the touchscreen Dopod, there is no way of being able to do that without much fumbling around.
