Samsung Ultra Edition 8.4
User Review for Samsung Ultra Edition 8.4
Excellent small phone
Aug 29, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Slim but strong, good quality screen
Cons: Navigation is a bit awkward, no iSync for Mac
Opinion:
The phone is very small and light....no question about that.
The number pad is relatively easy to use, but the arrow keys can be trouble if you have big thumbs (probably even if you don't have big thumbs).
I have used it in Singapore, China, Japan, Korea, USA, Malaysia, UK....no problems at all. Switch to local SIM card and no problems.
In 3G areas the battery lasts a few days. In GSM it lasts a little more than a day.
The Samsung software for the PC leaves a lot to be desired, though. I tried to use it on a PC and it was pretty basic. I primarily use a Mac and this phone does not have iSync support nor does MissingSync claim to support it.
But if you want a slim, strong phone without all of the bells and whistles that you can use all over the world easily then this phone is perfect for you. I think for what it is supposed to do, it does it about as perfectly as it can.
