User Review for Sony Ericsson K608i
Buy this phone if you don't need a lot of memory
Jul 15, 2007Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: great camera design, dual camera, fm radio, graphics, LONG battery life
Cons: can't expand memory, tiny keys with a toggle that sometimes sticks
Opinion:
I absolutely love this phone and I am saddened to have to replace it after dropping it on hard cement one too many times!
Why you should get it:
As a college student, I don't really need the fancy smart phones that can access your email in mere seconds; I just want a phone that can play music and take great pictures. The best thing about this phone is that you take pictures like with a real camera, meaning you flip the phone on its side and press the shutter button on its side (now the top). It has a lot of photo-taking options: multishot, sepia or bw or normal colors, no flash, really bright flash, nighttime shots. 1.3 MP ain't that bad, either. The other thing I love about this phone is that everything is accessible with the touch of a button (this can be customized to your liking). There's actually a shortcut button that will take me directly to bluetooth, calendar, light (love that thing for when I need to find my keys in my purse), IR port and main menu. The graphics are also very nice on it with themes that you can download from Sony Ericsson for free (some cost money). In terms of music, the memory sucks. I can only hold maybe 20-25 full length songs at a time but I have an iPod for that. I love that I can listen to the radio on it though... its great for random boring moments. Also, its battery is amazing. I can go 3 days without charging it with long talk times (I don't know the specifics but trust me, it lasts a long time) and it charges quickly.
Why you shouldn't buy it:
If you hate tiny keys, don't buy this. I got used to it quickly but if tiny keys are your pet peeve, then save yourself the annoyance and buy something else. If you love being able to play 800 songs, then again buy something with an expandable memory or space for a memory card.
Again, I hate having to replace my phone but I can't handle my phone turning off on its own (through my own accidents!). Actually I'll probably just buy another k608i and a spare Samsung phone or something.
BUY THIS!!
