User Review for Dell Axim X51v
The Dell x51v is a brilliant PDA - with a few tweaks it will work almost perfectly
Jul 9, 2007Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Superb display, SD and CF card support, 624MHZ processor, really good for reading text
Cons: Poor battery life when playing music or videos, all other operations don't use much power
Opinion:
This PDA will cope with all task very well if you follow these steps...
1. Make sure you're using up-to-date software. Software written for the previous 2003/2003 OS may crash or work intermittently.
2. Only buy high-speed SD and CF cards. Opening and accessing files will be slow if your memory is slow.
3. Keep today applications to a minimum. Adding today screen apps will just increase start-up time and slow down your machine.
The screen is extremely good and the storage capacity makes this the PDA to choose.
Pity about the Mobile 5 O/S, but hopefully the x51v can be upgraded to Mobile 6 when it's released.
