User Review for Samsung SGH-Z400
Good compact phone
Dec 16, 2006Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: compact with 3G, MusicPlayer and Document Viewer
Cons: No FM and ONLY ENGLISH is supported at the moment
Opinion:
This is my first Samsung phone.
Just bought the phone and delighted with its weight as a 3G phone. It also come with document viewer. Nevertheless, you have to use File Manager and browse to the file to open and view it. Would be much better if samsung can include a docViewer application shortcut directly under the Applications menu. It take me quite a while to figure out this very useful feature.
Software speed above average. Sound quality certainly not as good as my old Motorola E398, but acceptable. No FM. To my biggest dissapointment is the lack of non-english support at the moment. Hopefully Samsung can roll up new software to support Asian language very soon.
Oh. Also dissapointed that i cannot change the theme/skin of the software.
The touch and the keypad feel solid compared other phone, and the slider looks good.
No comment for picture quality as I never have chance to really compare to other phone, yet.
Oh. One annoying feature is that the screen will be turned on showing "Battery Charging" when you charge, even if you have previously switched the phone totally off. A good feature for some people maybe, but since usually i charge phone only at night, that tiny screen lights can be irritating.
Not sure is this a standard samsung feature?
Overall rating come close to 8/10 but since it is without non-english support, i have 'downgraded' it...
