User Review for Nokia 6131
a stylish business phone that needs more battery life
Oct 21, 2006Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: small and a very good main screen; compact and expandable memory
Cons: bleow average battery life, too much noise in the pictures taken by the built in camera
Opinion:
I was really enticed by the elegance and simplicity of the phone. The addition of micro sd slot was great that made me decide to immediately buy my own unit when it came out here in the Philippines. After a couple of days of using, there came my disappointment with the unit. First, battery life is too short for you to maximize and enjoy the multimedia features of the phone like the music player and the camera. Next, there were too much noise in the pictures taken by the phone and needs very good lighting condition for you to have pcitures good for printing. I was hoping that the loudspeaker would be of good sound quality. It is just disappointing that the phone did not come with a 3D sound speaker. Finally, if the phone targets the professionals who are on the go, they could have at least increased the internal phone memory. For people who would have to synchronize their schedules and tasks using Outlook, sooner or later, you will have to make sure that you clean up the phone memory as the 6 MB memory is shared by the various applications/ features of the phone.
Overall, the phone is intended to suit the needs of those who would want to have a little of everything in a nice, simple but sophisticated clamshell. A word of caution though, to maximize the features of the phone, a fully charged spare battery would come in handy as the average battery life would just keep you going for more than a day.
