User Review for Samsung SGH-D820
This phone is a piece of garbage
Oct 9, 2006Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: looks cool (but looks can be deceiving)
Cons: Battery life, software, lousy SMS interface, pretty much everything
Opinion:
I purchased this phone three months ago and couldn't be more disappointed. where do i begin?
1. After proper charging and normal phone usage, one of my batteries will hold a charge for three hours and one will hold a charge for seven hours. the rated battery life for this phone is a total lie.
2. Text messaging is difficult because of the plastic spacing between the numbers on the keypad. the delete key is horribly placed under the key that scrolls through your word choices. the phone also doesn't move more commonly used words to the front of the list.
3. I'm constantly losing calls and not getting signals in places i should.
4. The software flat out doesn't work at all. I cannot sync the phone with my computer. the only way to add music is to put is on the expandable memory card by selecting the phone as usb external memory.
5. The mp3 player has a bug where if you try to play an unsupported format the phone reads the external memory slot as empty, which can only be fixed by shutting off and turning on the phone.
i'll never ever buy another samsung product again after using this phone. i'm going back to nokia.
