User Review for Motorola Razr V3
razer-v3 sucks
May 11, 2006Rating: 1 out of 10 (Abysmal)
Pros: superb hardware
Cons: software written by morrons
Opinion:
the software on this phone is totally abysmal: (a) press the red while editting an SMS, and the message is lost (they should patent it -- one-click-destruction)
(b) the phonebook categories feature is hopeless (try sorting out a couple of hundred phones with this beauty)
(c) changing time. You move to a different country and the local operator does not send the time -- you have to go to initial settings TURN OFF the autoupdate and then set the local time. When you go home you have to remember to turn the auto update back on. Silly -- Clearly motorola developers do not use their own phones.
(d) screen goes dark, but keyboard still active. How do you turn screen back on without messing the mode you are in? Sony does this one better (first keystroke re-enables screen)
(e) bluetooth connection allows single phonebook items to be sent/received, so that you have to use the junk PhoneTools software motorlla sells (DO NOT get me started on this pathetic piece of software).
.... tons of such little nags that can drive you totally insane.
I wish airplane windows could open so that I could throw this piece of junk from 10000 meters.
Motorola developers should be put on trial for delivering such pathetic software.
