User Review for O2 Xphone IIm
Good but can be better
Dec 12, 2005Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: Well-built and good design
Cons: Poor software package and keypad layout
Opinion:
Background: I was on the way to Causeway Point to buy a Panasonic X800 when this O2 Xphone IIm caught my eyes. It was an impressive phone at first look; price was considerably higher than the Panasonic X800. After some thoughts, I finally made up my mind to purchase the O2 phone. This is a well-built phone with MS Smartphone 2003 2nd update edition. However, this phone DOES NOT C/W with any MS Pocket Office! This is really disappointing as I thought this O2 Xphone IIm could be a worthy successor to my good old MPx 200. This O2 phone is sometimes laggy compared to my good old MPx 200 (MS Smartphone 2003); perhaps due to the MS Smartphone 2003 in the O2 Xphone IIm. Worst of all, the joystick is very difficult to use for an average Asian male. Battery life is also quite weak compared to my backup phone Samsung E330. It is disappointing that O2 cannot meet up to the expectations of an average smartphone user; even the Panasonic X800 comes with some office document software and at more affordable lower price tag.
