Contact list synchronisation

After so many years of using a WM device - I only realise after I left my previous company that all WM device only sync with Windows Outlook and nothing else for the calender and contact list.

I currently use Outlook Express and really not too keen to pay for the Windows Outlook license - can somebody tell me how to backup my contact list?

Cheers! WK

Expensive phone

Recently I bought HTC touch diamond 2, Initially I was amazed as it is sleek in design and nice volume control button. But when I started using, lot of software problem, No LED light when bettery gets charged fully(no way to know whether battery charged fully unless you go to settings and open power icon), sometimes no SMS sounding when in sleep mode,Poor accelerometer performance,Less sensitive touch screen and comparitively slow speed.
Apart from these While using phone or browsing internet, device getting hot too much and battery performance poor. And looking into price, It is far expensive than other models available of same specification.and important thing HTC does not provide any 3.5mm audio jack

colours

Can someone tell me difference between 65K and 16 millions colours and what kind of changes are going to make when view photos?
Why windows mobiles are always come up with 65K colours?
