The bad: No camera flash; proprietary headphone socket; no Wi-Fi; average video support. This is a mid to low end music phone, I agree that the proprietary headphone socket has to go to make way for a 3.5 mm standard headphone jack, but this being Sony, this feature will not surface anytime soon. changing to 3.5 would be like asking Sony to forgo Sony Memory Sticks and change it to SD cards.
Being a mid to low end music phone, ( and if you have been poking around), camera flash... is not a necessity to many of their market and definitely not Wi-Fi.
People who fall into this group, won't be surfing the net on their phone anytime soon. They do not require these set of features.
All Sony Ericssons' phone will not have fantastic video or music support for one simple reason. Sony.... produces movies, video, DVDs and CDs, unless they have a iTunes store equivalent, the support will never rise to meet the other leading phones with superb video support.
They won't point and shoot a gun into their own foot by "supporting" piracy.
W760 - My worst encounter

Recently, I upgraded my mobile line and purchase a new Song Ericsson W760i.After using for ONLY 2 WEEKS, my W760i is now TOTALLY USELESS and Gone.
Less than 2 weeks of usage, my hp started showing problems. As far as I can recall, I didnÂ’t do anything (e.g. dropping of my hp, accidentally letting water seep into the hp, etcÂ…) to trigger off these problems (hp hanged, buttons not functioning, etcÂ…)
I sent my hp to Sony Ericsson service center and the technician told me that water has seeped through and damaged the motherboard. It is now a corrosion set and my warranty will be void. My W760 is now TOTALLY USELESS after just 2 WEEKS of usage!!! After their “goodwill” service, my hp set is now worse than before. There is no network reception and the function buttons by the side of the hp are no longer functioning.
After close examination of my W760i, I noticed that the battery cover of the W760i is not tightly fitted and this could be the potential manufacturing default that could have resulted in any water seepage due to the unknown knowledge of the hp owner.
This is not the kind of quality or service that I expect from Sony Ericsson. The service centre and customer care personnel did not render any assistance nor perform any after-sales service recovery even though it is clearly not my fault that the hp is now non-functional.
For all the money that I have spent and the hassle that I have gone through, now I need to purchase another hp and I am sure it will never be Sony Ericsson handphone again.
