acer n310 power problems

Hello world,We have an acer N310 handheld running windows 5.0. Over the last few months, it has refused to power up after switch-off. This used to be solveable by taking out and replacing the battery, pressing soft reset button and general fiddling about! It eventually would restart and work ok for a while. It has now switched off and will not restart, regardless of what I try - I know of somebody else who has the same pda and is encountering exactly the same problem. Can anyone out there help?
