LG extends Blu-ray lineup at CES 2009

LAS VEGAS, USA--One of the key features in the company's Blu-ray players and home theater systems for 2009 will be networking which allows users to access content online from partners such as Netflix, YouTube and CinemaNow via LG's NetCast Entertainment Access. Unfortunately, this feature is available only in the US for now.

What consumers can also expect for LG's Blu-ray A/V products this year are innovative features such as integrated wireless home networking, 1GB onboard memory and discrete 7.1-channel audio output on the BD390 player.

Also onboard are wireless rear satellite speakers designed by sound guru Mark Levinson for the LHB979 home theater kit. The LHB977 Blu-ray system is probably one of the first Blu-ray HTIBs featuring two HDMI inputs.

LG did not provide details on the availability of its Blu-ray A/V products at the time of this report.
