Smart TV? Still not smart

Opinion:
Though of buying this again. Cause its really good for recording TV programme. However, the review of this machine still not very good after so long. Thanks dalowe for his latest opinion. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS. NOW.

Opinion:
Not as intuitive as TiVo. I've been putting up with this service since it was launched and I am almost at the end of my rope. Every time I log a complaint it's the standard line - bug software. Seriously Starhub needs to go back to the drawing board on this and start from scratch. The latest prob I had was when I set it to tape by show - and it only taped 1hr 45 min instead of the 2 hours. So now' i'm missing the tail end of Prison Break. So frustrating!!!. I also had all the other problems experienced by onebear. My advice DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY BUYING THIS.

 

Will change the way you watch TV.

Not a Smart TV

Pros: Easy Recording while watching other programme.
Cons: Recording not working.....always. Software bugs. Machine so hot that u can cook an egg on top of it.
Opinion:
Been using it since the very day Starhub had launch it. Paying higher price than other DVR that is available in the market cause it's more convenience to record tv programme.
However, it's not worth the money and benifit. It's always giving some problem like: programme frizz on some channel, recording just the first few second of the schedule programme...and many others.... It's really sad to say that after many months of filrmware update it doesn't improve at all.
I think it is not fare for consumer to always reset and reformat the harddisk to remedy hardware problem stituation.
Hence, TODAY I'd RETURNED my set to StarHub with FULL REFUND from them!
I guess Starhub do agreed that there are some technical problem with the smart tv box which can not be solve. So they have no choice that they have to take back the equipment. I really appreciate that.

buggy, half baked premature release

Opinion:
In the 4 weeks I have owned this, I loved it for about 3 days, when it worked perfectly. Since then it has required me at least once a week to crawl around under the console while on long mobile phone calls, unplugging and plugging it, in response to the customer care officer's random attempts to fix the problems. In the end they just ask you to turn it on and off until it fixed itself, or leave if off overnight and hope that it gets better. They also threaten that if they turn up to repair it and it has fixed itself, they will charge you for the visit. Even the breakdown can't be relied upon, it always fixes itself before the repairman can turn up!
