A good solid unit

Pros: Plays DVDs for all regions straight out of the box. Good HDD recording and features
Cons: Nothing significant alothough I have used machines with nicer ff controls
Opinion:
This is a great little unit. I got mine half price from Pioneer as a reboxed unit. Other than the batteries already being loaded into the remote control, it was just like new including all the packaging etc.
Picture quality from the DVD and HDD is excellent. A fairly easy unit to use and plays back DVDs from all regions without the need to enter codes or have the machine modified. This was the main reason for getting this unit.
The HDD fucntionality is great with quick start recording and the ability to review while recording and to pause and continue recording. I guess this is standard fare for DVD recorders but it works a treat.
Somewhat obsolete now as just the unit has both analogue and SD digital tuners. While I would have liked a HD tuner, I already have an external HD box which doesn't get much use and the price difference, $399 to around ... Read more
