Pros: Excellent recording capabilities, plenty of options and quite quick in creating HDD to DVD.
Cons: Nothing prominent ?!? ... Maybe dual DVD slots ?

Good recording features, but lacks connectivity & format compatibility

Exchanged the LG RH7926 for this Pioneer because of recording feature set (gave up on LG due to its handicap recording feature set, though it has nice connectivity & format storage compatibility). Pioneer seems quite similar to Panasonic models (e.g. E85H). This is very capable if you intend to do much recording from TV programs. Chaseplay, timer recording, simultaneous play & record, editing, etc., works very well and easy to use. But if you want good connectivity, this set lacks HDMI, no coaxial digital, and the USB port has limited use. If you want compatibilty in format, this set cannot store mp3 or DivX/MPEG-4 files in the HDD (though can play MP3 from disc). No DVD+R/+RW or DVDRAM recording.
