How to select the right Pioneer HDTV

8G Kuro

These eighth-generation plasma TVs were launched back in late 2007 and represent the last batch of HD-ready panels from the company in Asia. Despite a lower screen resolution than the latest full-HD entries, the PDP-428XG and PDP-508XG are still highly regarded for delivering deep blacks even among the current midrange plasma TVs. Having said that, the G8 Kuros are also pricey, commanding a 20-plus percent premium over other brands.
