Rise of the Samsung A/V juggernaut

For plasma fans, the Korean chaebol has a comparable Series 6 equivalent with the same Touch of Color design, WiseLink USB connectivity and equal number of HDMI inputs. What's scorching hot, though, is its extreme (read: Theoretical) 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast which is seriously in a league of its own; face value at least. One notch below the hierarchy is the Series 5 which is near identical sans the rose-black styling and one less HDMI.

If you have a soft spot for gaming, check out the Series 4 plasmas loaded with 3D wizardry developed in conjunction with software house Electronics Arts. To enable this cool feature, you'll need a pair of 3D glasses which are slated for launch next month and 3D-tuned games and movies. To further boost its motion reproduction performance, it has Real 100Hz frame rate-doubling technology which is sort of a tradeoff for its lower HD-ready resolution.
