Great TV at a Great Price

Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Price Has Come Down Significantly
Cons: Design
Opinion:
Cant go wrong with this TV if you are looking for a 50' and above.

At S$4,200 with Gifts, Definitely The Best Value for Money in the High-End Category in Singapore at Present

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Breath Taking Picture Quality watching Batman, The Dark Knight on Blu Ray. Most Powerful Speakers in the 50" Range. Great Picture Quality on Standard Definition TV Broadcast
Cons: Remote Control not responsive, Pictures a Bit Soft (not as glaring as LCD)
Opinion:
Manage to pick this up at the Singapore IT Show on March 13th 2009. Got a great deal. Paid SGD $4,200 and came with free S$200 Taka Voucher, a free Pana Blu Ray player BD30, 3 years warranty, a free Chronograph watch worth $200+, free wall bracket and installation of wall mount, free delivery, and the best part; interest free installment by American Express or any credit card of one's choice (without surcharge). Bought from Best Denki (the dealer at the show).

Without doubt, at the price of S$4,200 with free gifts, this offers the best value for money in the high end category 50' and above relative to Pioneer KRP 500a (S$5,999 without free gifts or S$6,999 with free gifts) or the Samsung ranges of LCDs (52' 650 and 750 range at $5200 - S$5800 without free gifts).

Extremely delighted with the purchase. Would highly recommend this TV to anyone looking for the best picture quality ... Read more

"This is what i am looking for my Plasma Full HDTV!"

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Swivel stand, Brilliant color reproduction, Good black level, Beautiful design
Cons: Intelligent Frame Creation is a waste feature, remote control is not responsive, dusty magnet, hard to do picture callibration
Opinion:
I am from Indonesia. Yes, i bought it and not regret it at all. This is the best buy i did this year!

I do agree with Philip Wong review.

I just want to add note to two things:
1. Intelligent Frame Creation is a waste feature as it for me. I do believe that feature meant to smooth picture movement but it make it ugly and not natural. IMO, you better turn off this waste feature. or maybe anyone has different idea?
2. I don't know how to set picture calibration (RGB, Hue, etc). I cannot find it on menu. But i do find standard calibration like brightness, color, sharpness, etc.

Good TCO (total cost of ownership) and comparable feature with Pioneer Kuro

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: 24p playback, High contrast, SD card slot, 3 HDMI and good price
Cons: Heat and slow start/stop time
Opinion:
Been waiting for this since early June 2008. When it's hook to my Pana BD-30 Blu-ray player, superb video!!! The title i play like i-Robot, 300, Die-Hard 4, 300, The Fifth Element and more, just give what is expected as should a Blu-ray disc did.
A Pioneer Kuro at M'sia with 50' will cost 25,000 compare to 8,800 for this one. Fair speaking, Kura has better Black reproduction but with the prize...not worth it....
The only thing I don't like is the i-link feature. You have to take out the disc from BD player first, before turn off the TV, else it will turn off the BD for you before disc was taken out.
The heat generated after being on for 30 minutes is quite "feeling" and the start time, take around 5 seconds.
In summary, it is value for money.

Maybe Over-Rated by CNET

Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: 100,000hrs Panel Life (if True), Good Speakers, Better Picture Quality on Standard Definition TV than LCD TVs
Cons: Moving Background Appears Blur, Considerable Noise on Moving Black/White Background
Opinion:
1. Best price offered for this set was between S$4,399 and S$4,600 in Singapore. General selling price without much fuss S$4,900 (as at 23rd Sept 08).

2. Personally feel that this set is not as impressive as reviewed by CNET. I compared this set with other flat panels such as the Philips 52PFL9703, Pioneer Kuro, Sharp, Sony X Series, Samsung L6, etc.

3. I viewed the same media during the demo (a Panasonic demo disc consisting of 2 - 3 girls Singing, wearing black pokka dot on white mini skirt and very redish background).

4. I noticed considerable noise on the black / white background (image/background became fuzzy) when the car (from the Panasonic demo singing video) was moving past several backdrops (including road signs, notice boards, etc).

5. Background should be clear when the camera is panning (moving left to right) but the background was blur. I ... Read more
