Over rated

Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: A fairly good made in Japan Full HD plasma. Good surround sound.
Cons: Only supports 1080p50 and 1080p60, while losing out on blue-ray 24fps(24 Hz) playback. Losing out on the colours and contrast.
Opinion:
Over rated. I personally think that at this price range, the Hitachi P50X01 performs better, in terms of contrast and a more natural color reproduction.

Outstanding performance and value.

Besides this newly acquired Plasma Screen, I have a home cinema in a dedicated room: 110" screen, Sony front projector, 7.1 channel audio (Onkyo to Klipsch speakers). I'm extremely fussy about audio and video reproduction. This TV is really excellent to watch cable HD and upscaled SD media from Starhub over HDMI and the occasional standard DVD, if I'm too lazy to fire up ... Read more
