HD at its best

Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: Great contrast and colours, good for HD games too
Cons: Image seems a bit elongated, warm colour mode not very pretty
Opinion:
This is my 1st plasma TV, and I am impressed with the overall quality. Although the screen is reflective of sunlight, the other features more than compensate. So far, have enjoyed watching movies, playing HD games and soccer, esp in cool picture mode. Never know red, green, yellow and black colours can be so riched. A pity that the component input does not support 1080p.H ighly recommended.

plasmas r better for standard definition and lcd for high definition

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: nice pq ,good sound quality , good variety of modification features
Cons: design ,reflective screen
Opinion:
actually i own d 42pd9500ta but both are the same without the extra features.it has nice PQ and comparitively better sound than other lcd and plasma .the screen is very reflective during the day so curtains have to be used but thats not much of a issue .the worst part abt it is that the design is very ordinary compared to the ones from samsung sony whcih look gr8
but overall this plasma is quite d best u can get keep aside companies like band and olufsen who plasma r d best but cost is abt 20 times d hitachi one . so u decide between 20 hitachi plasmas or i b&o plasma

LCD? What is LCD?

Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Superb Image, Made in Japan
Cons: Reflective screen
Opinion:
PICTURE
I found that this set is able to reproduce superb and faithful natural colours, without over-saturating. Lot's of options to keep customizers happy. The only problem I faced is the screen, which is slightly reflective for my liking. So, daytime viewing is not so good, unless you've got a very dark room, but when night time approaches, who needs the cinemas.

SOUND
Let's face it, when getting a set like this, you'd definitely have to get a home theatre system. But, if you do have to rely on the sound system of the set, it's actually not bad at all. Voices are very clear and crisp. The SRS WOW does an above-average job as well. Again, options galore is the highlight for this set.

DESIGN
I found myself wishing it to be more like the other 42" from Samsung, LG or Sony, but it goes rather well with my furniture, and it's way better than the Panasonic ... Read more

Impressive image quality.

Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Good picture quality.
Cons: The sound lacks punch
Opinion:
My first plasma TV, but everything seems great. Have not find anything painful. Switch from channels to channels might take a little while but I guess it it OK.

Very highly rated

Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Decent PQ, Resistant to Screen-burn
Cons: Poor Blacks, Colors not spot-on, False Contouring, Banding
Opinion:
Doesn't deserve Editor's choice. The Pio and the Panny blows away any Plasma TV in the market and the author needs to adjust the ratings.
