The bad: 24p Film function produces motion artifacts, less than optimum PC resolution support; 1080i-only component-video.
The bottom line: This flagship 2008 Panasonic Viera LCD TV delivers brilliant colors and soulful sounds, but is held back by a less than ideal PC resolution support and a broken anti-judder 24p function.

Superb Full HD picture quality! Bravo Panasonic!
Jul 23, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: True-to-life colours, smooth images, incredible resolution... Worth every $
Cons: None
Opinion:
During the demo on the day I made the purchase, I requested the salesman to play a few Blu-Ray discs including X-Men 3 and Spider-Man 3 just to check out the rumours they say about fast-moving scene displayed poorly on LCDs... After tiresome evaluation, my choice is clear...
This Pana baby produces outstanding colours, images and resolution... I will not tell you the brands placed side-by-side with this baby during demo but the two of them has the W-series and another with the 6-series...
Good Job, Panasonic!!! You have another extremely satisfied customer!!!
Outstanding value for full HD LCD TV
Jul 11, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Superior picture quality in TV and DVD playback modes, the unit looks very smart and I really like the hidden screen swivel and the side-of-screen plug-in features
Cons: None to date
Opinion:
After some years with a high spec 29in Phillips CRT, the move to Panasonic HD Ready LCD unit ahead of the Olympics was the plan. However, with an upgrade option to the full HD unit available, the subsequent arrival of the TX-37LZ800M demonstration model and one viewing was enough to make the call to accept the upgrade. After just four days of viewing, the TX-37LZ800M model is a superior HD TV to complement the existing Panasonic HDD and surround sound suite. I will leave it to others to comment on the fine points but this TV deserves an early high rating for what it does outstandingly well by rendering a superior picture. Full marks to Panasonic!
