A good buy if you are okay with paying a bit premium for a Sony

Pros: Solid and sharp image, with all the necessary ports
Cons: Unimaginative design, ports all at the back, and not suitable for non-HD satellite TV viewing
Opinion:
Bought this LCD TV (RM8999) bundled together with Sony's DAV-DZ850KW (RM2999) home theater system, for RM11000. After about 2 months of research, finally settled on Sony although I know I have to pay premium price just because its a Sony.
Have been watching Astro (Msia's satellite TV) and DVDs on the LCD for the past few days. Pictures quality from DVDs is top notch, with crystal clear details that I would never be able to notice during the old CRT days. But the same can't be said of Astro's picture quality.
Although came with the so-called Astro Viewing Enhancement, hardcore AV aficionados would find the Astro picture quality hard to stomach. Besides stretched images due to big and wide 46' size of the screen, the picture is quite pixelated too.
