Can still hold its own
Jan 31, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Low price, great picture out of the box
Cons: Laughable sound, limited tweaking, not full hd
Opinion:
Best bang for buck, picture quality (color and blacks) best after the entry-level 50 inch kuro, which is half again more expensive. Need to hook this up to a home theater because the sound is tinnier than my ipod sound dock but didnt matter because i have a decent setup to plug it into. Better than the hitachis, toshibas, jvcs and samsung plasmas at this pricepoint. my mom got the top of the line bravia lcd. viera picture much easier on the eye. plasma i feel is still better.
better to choose new models wt nicer design wt FULL HD

Pros: resonable price
Cons: no more made in japan, design remain as previos, poor sound
Opinion:
pay little bit more for other MADE IN JAPAN , FULL HD , nicer design , 1080P (50/60/24 hz) models.
A fantastic TV

Pros: Great picture, good looking black finish, enough connection options to get everything hooked up
Cons: Bad sound, very limited tweaking options, no option available to adjust picture automatically to 16:9 or 4:3 as available in SONY and other tvs
Opinion:
I got my tv after a lot of research. Started from selecting between PLASMA and LCD but PLASMA won as I am a big cinema buff and love that movies should look rich in contrast and color which this tv does very well. The tv was great out of the box and no adjustments were needed however when you get into menu you would see that there is not much available to adjust. Thats a draw back here....as sometimes you would just like to explore more and tweak a bit but not possible with this tv. One think that Panasonic should think about....AUDIO. Its so bad that my old Sony 29"tv had a much much better sound. This is even worse than a 14"tv.
All in all I am very satisfied till now. No remorse, absolutely a great buy.
